How a Veteran Began Trading in the Military to Have True Freedom Today

At 17 years old, I was a young soldier in the British Army trying to make ends meet by being a soldier and driving taxis in my spare time.
I really wanted to take control of my financial future so I wouldn’t have to start a new career after I retired from the British Army at 40 years old.
By the time I was 25, my dream was to be able to buy my first home, settle my family down away from military life, and retire early in a sunny country.
What most people don’t know, was that when I was at home, I was working extra jobs on the side, while also having to be away on regular military deployments.
All this time away made me feel like I was stuck in this never ending cycle, and my dreams of leaving the military life to settle my family in a sunny country were unattainable.
To make things worse, because I was away most of the time, and my wife struggled to find a job and childcare that adapted to my deployments.
I had failed as a husband and father.
One BIG problem during my military service was that once I had completed a 4 month training course, I went straight on to a 6 month deployment.
Being away for 10 months at a time while not making additional income to help me reach the financial freedom meant that I would have to leave the military and start another career that I didn’t want to do.
Then, as I came back from one of my missions, I decided to sit down and do some research…
I began to look into trading, and when I found Forex & Stocks trading, everything changed for me. The potential of financial freedom through trading and investing looked like a credible solution!
After working to understand trading strategies better, it became crystal clear to me how to make consistent profits. I was determined to leave the Army without having to start a second career.
If I kept my trading strategy simple, it wasn’t going to take me a decade to learn how to trade profitably. All I needed was to create a simple and repeatable strategy that I could feel confident with.
After my first year of profit, my account balance grew by nearly 71%. When I returned back home after my deployment, my friends and family learned about my success. Shortly after, they entrusted me with their investment and I began trading their money.
After trading larger accounts, I was becoming financially free of my military income because I was now seeing returns of 60% on my account balance.
Suddenly, I was retiring myself from the Army.
To continue building on my trading investment, I repeated the simple trading strategy to make consistent profits.
After that, I took on my first £1,000,000 client as a Money Manager.
But there was still a problem…
Things were still not perfect.
Here’s what I mean… with each new client, it brought on more stress, and required more time to manage.
I was spiraling back into spending more time away from my family like I had been doing in the military.
Because the US markets didn’t close until 10pm European time, I wasn’t available to spend time with the children until after their bedtime!
This became so frustrating that I decided to retire from managing other people’s money so that I could focus on only managing mine.
Simply, this was by trading the high probability Fifth Wave move of an Elliott Wave sequence, while keeping it simple and repeatable.
I focused on building a software that was designed around the strategy that I had discovered after years of successful and consistently profitable trading.
I have assembled a team and we call this education platform “Trade The Fifth”.

And in the end, all of this means that I am now able to spend time with my family with a view of the Mediterranean sea in my backyard.
