I have a few good marbles that were given to me — one handpainted from the 18th century. That’s a good collecting item. Nice and compact. But collecting, by definition, is a habit of expansion. Of desire and seeking and coveting. I predict more than one shoebox will be necessary. But then, with marbles, that might be just more tree blessings for later — not a bad thing.
