This is a thought provoking article even for someone who does not have kids yet. I’ve looked upon friends and family who shove an iPad in front of their kids and don’t hear or see from them for the rest of the day, and judged. But who am I to judge? Having time to yourself as a parent is undeniably invaluable and managed in the right way technology and TV can be beneficial to children at that age. As long as this doesn’t ultimately replace quality time spent with your kids (away from technology). Like many others who have responded to this piece I do not agree with placing restrictions on children that could lead to rebellion. We all remember being kids, having being told not to do this or that, what’s the first thing we want to do?the opposite! I enjoyed reading this article as its given me an adjusted outlook on my future parenting, thank you!
