Most longer narratives don’t use the inverted pyramid (it’s designed for medium form stories such as news). So why have they used it here? Or is it a version of the form? Yes it starts with the most newsworthy element but does it end with background info?
Perhaps think about why he uses the Quest narrative — and whether that was the intention to begin with, or whether they might have set out with another structure in mind. How might it have shaped editorial decisions such as what to film, pre-production etc?
