Hey Brad, if the regulations were just limited to mandates that could be accomodated by a geo-activated software changes it might not be so bad. But instead a patchwork of inconsistent state regulations are fast evolving that mandate design features (such as requiring steering wheels or break pedals) and have different licensing and operational restrictions on autonomous vehciles operating within that jurisdiction. Self-driving vehicles must be able to cross state lines.
