When An Advertiser’s “You” Doesn’t Mean You At All
Ester Bloom

Is it possible that *you* were targeted with this ad because of other’s behavior on your computer? I know that I often see ads for products and companies (I won’t name them here) that I would NEVER shop, but my wife does.. they are often customized to her profile. We share a computer and we both have been retargeted by ads — you know the kind that follow you around online by dropping a pixel on you. Just as weird for her when she sees ads for stuff I’m shopping for.
