There are rules that prevent us from damaging one another. Yes, there is free speech, but rest assured all speech has an element of cost. There is freedom to speak, but what you say can also produce damages. Damages you must sometimes pay, which in that case the speech being still yet free, comes at a cost.
Also, in regards to the right to free speech, one individual’s right to expression in no ways obligates anyone else to listen to, let alone defer to, expressions they disagree with.
People often forget that vital flip-side to the right.
