As much as some people won’t like to see it put so bluntly, it was largely middle class white people who were harmed by Obamacare (and disproportionately minorities who benefited from its expansion of Medicaid).

I’m a great example of that; someone who, until 2008, always had employer provided coverage. Unfortunately I’ve gone uncovered ever since the ACA passed, suffering the double-whammy of underemployment (partially driven by the ACA’s restrictions on hiring and full time work) and the elimination of affordable insurance packages (entirely driven by the ACA’s coverage requirements).

Hard to escape the conclusion that when Obama told Joe The Plumber he was going to ‘spread the wealth’, he meant that he was going to increase health care costs on the (largely white, largely citizen) middle class to finance Medicaid expansion for the (largely nonwhite, largely immigrant) poor.
