A thought for you!
“Success is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm.”
WOW! What a simple thought process that can help anyone in any given assignment or chosen vocation.
But when working this thought process to your photography then for me the penny drops. Think of it this way.
Not all of your images when you’re out on a shoot are going to be successful. It’s not possible to make 100 images and expect all to be prefect. No photographer will think that way. Possibly only 10% will be what you are looking for and considered a success. Maybe 0% ! Yes thats right none have worked out — can you imagine. (That’s why the sports photographer rattles off so many images!)
Life, photography or work is all about learning experiences. There are going to be failures; Exams! Driving tests! Work undertakings! Missed Penalty shoot outs! or A missed putt to win a competition!
But the main ante-dote to all this — Keep your enthusiasm. Thats the key to success. Hold this one true thought close to you (your heart if you want) but keep it forever. If you lose it the games up, the jobs over, the hobby is lost.
Accept your failures. Keep you enthusiasm and your experiences will take you forward to Success.
