Use async/await in Node v7 today

Update (2016–10–26): Node.js v7 is now available for download: https://nodejs.org/en/blog/release/v7.0.0/

In a few days (2016–10–18) Node.js v6 version will enter the long term support (LTS) coverage. From that moment on, major work will continue on the v7 release of Node.js which will bring long awaited upgrade to V8 engine, with plenty of performance enhancements and new functionality.

Among the most awaited features is the native async/await support, which should reduce the boilerplate code required to run modern back-end code for Node.js.

I made a small demo on how you can try out the async/await today:

It’s a good idea to start removing that back-end Babel dependency you have been using all this time.
