The version of the 262 without the screen on the back is about 10% more expensive than the one with the screen. I love it.

This only works if you get fewer and better features. For example, the camera without the screen gets upgraded optics to make the pictures better.

Otherwise, you’re just putting less work into a product and charging more. That might be a bold move, but you’ll need to cater to the uneducated consumer, or play on some other emotion to sell it.

The Macbook is a good example because there was a purpose to eliminating components. If they decided to ship two identical models, with one having fewer ports and a higher price tag, I doubt there’d be any takers.
