This sounds like it will be interesting.
My multigrade experience relates to the variable efficacy of the core “bum-sticker” teaching portion of the class. My background was chalk & talk and I could get carried away with the novelty of such as the Binary system and its quirks which might amuse me (cf AND/OR/NOT). Keeping me grounded was the fact that no one uses Log Tables but I would often get caught between students lazily wanting me to do the work and me expeditiously wanting to do it for them.
