Sector 19

Sector 19, You may think where it is and why I am writing about it. Well I inform you, Sector 19 is one of the bachelor sector in RG township owned by the largest private ltd company of India. All young boys who came from different parts of the country get accommodation in this sector. I came here 06 years ago along with my 31 batchmates, many of them have been transferred now after spending their tenure and rest of them got married and shifted to married accomodations and I still live in the same sector.

Today, after my dinner in the G.Retreat(restaurant) I was coming back to my room (20 B2) in sector 19 and when I was crossing the building 19, I experienced something amazing and felt that my batchmate Bagla standing in the balcony of room no. 19 B2 (owned by my other batchmates Aman and Deepak in the past), smoking a cigarette and called my name..Matty… Then I looked back in the gallery of buildings 8, 14,15, 16 17,18,19, 20, I found Rizwan, Ashish, KD, Mithun,Amit, Beerwal, JD ,Ali, Hooda, Dhillon, Thapa, Jadeja, Kasal, Dalai, Kuldeep, Sushil Sandhu, Gulshan, Sachendera, Ram, Rohit, Anand, Jatt, Ved, Gill, Joy, Lamba, Ankush, Mohit, Charan, Davinder, Vishnu Sir, Raj, Tarun Sir, Gaurav, Manoj, Pushpennder Sir, Anshu Sir, Sana Sir, A Shukla, Ramesh Sir, Rajan Sir, Bishnoi Sir, Ravi Jha Sir, Praveen Sir, Rohin Sir, Vivek Sir, Nilesh Sir, A. Ojha sir , S.Ojha Sir, Manpreet Sir, Kaley, Gurwinder Sandhu Sir, Chib Sir, Aulakh Sir, Sana Sir, Ashwani Sir, Shivender Sir, Niladri, Rakesh sir, Jackson, Sawant, Gajja, Akshay Sir, Rathi, Viru, Imran, Bohra, Chandragupta, Deepraj, Vishal Sir, Murali Sir and many others, were standing in the balconies and waving their hands towards me. I closed my eyes for few seconds and after opening them I found that it was just a flashback. But this flashback insists me to write about Sector 19.

Sector19, there are many things that come to mind. Some of them are: good memories, bad memories, mistakes, lessons, happiness, heartbreak, misfortune, joy, drama, and most importantly, fun. Sector 19 to me seemed like it past by really fast, almost too fast sometimes. I learned many valuable life lessons as well as made life long friends. I learned the value of hard work, dedication, and also how to tell your real friends from the others. It was tough but overall a great experience that I miss.

When i think about high sector 19 and all the memories, some of them were good, an some of them were bad. Most of the good memories involved my good friends and most of the bad memories involved just me. All of us come here as young boys with full of Swag. Our accessories are Aviators, Royal Enfield, Music Systems, etc. Some examples of good memories in sector 19 is just like going to the ground for the physical work out with my friends which we did rarely and spent our time in roaming and BC (BC -Indian version of Gossiping😂😂). My friends, seniors, juniors and I attended many gossiping sessions every where in sector 19 whether it is room, pantry or lanes. But some of the spots in sector 19 were very famous like pantry of Building 18, Room No. 15 C2, 19 B2, 20 B2, Building 8, 17, 18, and the lanes between these buildings.

Room No. 15 C2 was famous for its ambience, play station, music system and its Khatiya(Desi version of Bed). But this room was famous for something else i.e. for its weekend parties. All the above mentioned places were the birthday party and BC spots for bachelors and for some married ones😉😂. The sounds, the atmosphere, and the company of your friends is what makes the residential area so fun and exciting. Just good memories for me in general in our sector include the basic seeing people in the lanes during breakfast in the pantries of building no. 8 and 18, catching bus for the shifts and chit chat with colleagues, batchmates, juniors, seniors at bus stop of sector 19 while waiting for the bus, attending event meetings of Independence day and Republic day celebration, as well as just seeing colleagues in the play ground for the preparation of their physical test held after 6 months in a year. Cheering for our respective teams of Cricket, football, basketball, volleyball who won many tournaments for us.

None of us will forget the festival of Diwali and Holi. Once on Diwali we made 02 gangs 10–12 guys on each side and fired rockets and crackers on each others. That was the best Diwali of my life. And on Holi none of us could stay in our room. Friends kick started the day by visiting each other, though the way they wished each other was just too believably uncivil. Hiding behind the parapets of balconies and terraces, we played the most mischievous pranks on each other.

Many times we planned our road trips in sector 19. Sometimes in nights and without plans we left our sector on bikes towards city, its outskirts, countryside, Barda Hills, Diu, Girnar and Bechtel Beach.

Since being a freshman, i have changed in a major way. Coming into Sector 19, I was a shy, unmotivated young man that didn’t really know what he was getting into. I am now a man who is mature, outgoing, and very sure of himself. If Sector 19 gave me anything it is friendship experience, comradeship, brotherhood for the lifetime and all those people who taught me always have confidence in yourself. If you believe in yourself and you believe that you can achieve anything you want in life, good things will happen to you.

Absence of all those people who have spent last 06 years with me in Sector 19, really hit me yet. Now the lanes of sector have been deserted. I don’t find anyone who is as same as those people. These 06 years has been an overall life changing experience that I will never forget.

Dedicated to all those who lived or still living their bachelor life in sector 19 of RG.

Hit a like and comment if you love it.

With Love!
