The Devaluation of Music: It’s Worse Than You Think
Craig Havighurst

I was very impressed with this article on the current. “business” of music. The way you (Craig) have broken down the devaluation of music into these points has certainly painted a bleak picture of the future. I too, like you, grew up in an era where the musical landscape was so much more rich, enjoyable and rewarding. I think the only chance for future generations to experience music in the “old" way is for some kind of major sociological or cultural shift to occur. I do believe, however, that the paths taken by independent artists today is a positive step in the right connection and could possibly result in an evolution of sorts, possibly revolving back to some of the more enriching musical elements of the past. Thank you, Craig.
