Another form of stimulus that has been and continues to be tried in the U.S. — without success. Time series analysis broken down to assess economic prosperity (unemployment, wage growth) during periods of robust private sector economic growth versus what we have seen during the past 7.5 years (during which GDP growth has been capped at 2% and often been lower) would show that a growing economy is the best medicine for employment and wage growth.
