5 ChatGPT Prompts to ADHD

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurobiological disorder that occurs mainly in children and can also continue into adulthood. ADHD is characterized by difficulty concentrating, hyperactivity and impulsiveness that are inappropriate for the age and development of the individual.

People with ADHD may have difficulty paying attention, both on schoolwork and everyday activities. They may have difficulty organizing and planning, forgetting tasks, staying organized, and controlling impulses.

In this article, I present 5 GPT Chat props that can help a person with ADHD in everyday life. Here I discuss topics related to effective time management, priorities and simplifying tasks.

1. Introducing a routine to life

Routine can be important for people with ADHD as it helps with time management, provides predictability and reduces stress. The predictability that routine provides can help you adapt and reduce anxiety about unexpected changes.

Example prompt:

I want to establish a daily routine to help manage my ADHD. Can you suggest a morning and evening routine that will help me stay organized and focused throughout the day? Take into account that I do not like to cook meals for the whole day.

2. Organizing tasks

As in the case above, ordering tasks can be important for people with ADHD because they often have difficulty organizing and planning, which can lead to feelings of overwhelming and chaos.

Example prompt:

I have to call 3 clients today, take out the trash, pick up laundry, take my dog to the vet, cook dinner and iron clothes. Create a schedule that allocates time to each task and includes breaks.

3. The fight against procrastination

The fight against procrastination is extremely important for people with ADHD disorder. These people have particular problems with starting and completing tasks, which can lead to a deterioration of the life situation on many levels.

Example prompt:

I’ve been avoiding creating a party poster for my client for some time now. I guess it’s because I don’t like country music. Can you help me understand why I’m procrastinating and advise on how to start?”

4. Difficulty concentrating

Concentration on the task is extremely important for everyone. Eliminating distractions can increase our productivity.

Example prompt:

I have difficulty concentrating, I am unable to engage in a project. Prepare strategies or techniques for me that will help me stay focused and make me more productive.

5. Simplify the task

Tasks that require us to act on many levels can be overwhelming. Therefore, it is worth breaking them down into smaller tasks, thanks to which it will be easier for us to start their implementation.

Example prompt:

I need to prepare a report on customer satisfaction with our services. This topic is too much for me, can you break it down into smaller tasks so that it’s easier for me to start?

ADHD can be a challenge, but it is not an insurmountable obstacle. Properly understanding and managing ADHD symptoms can have significant benefits in daily functioning. It is important to individualize the approach to ADHD management and adjust the changes to your needs.
