2023 was my 5th year running CIM. My time this year was the median of the 5 results but I’m happy with it. Maybe I’ll BQ if I hold my pace for another decade! I do think the rollers are deceivingly tricky (the uphills add up to over 600 feet by my watch) and the slight slope ends around mile 20 so you lose a benefit just as you hit the wall. Still an amazing race, well organized, great fans, and excellent weather conditions for a December race. I am an average runner but was inspired by all the fast racers who competed!
