I Was Wrong about Trump Voters

What’s the quote? “ statistics lie, and liars use statistics.”

It’s a shallow mind that always assumes that if one does not think like them they much be bigots.

As a Trump voter and those I’ve read, listened to and actually face-to-face communicated with… we are not voting in even the smallest way for anything relatively close to issues of “identity or race”. We (they) voted based on typical issues of economy and, can I say it?, freedom. We/they were tired of a government growing deeper and deeper into our lives — managing our healthcare, telling localities how they are able to run their states or towns — Ruling by caveat (ie executive order, ‘ we will have to pass it in order to know what’s in it’, mandating international treaties without Senate approval — can anyone say “Paris climate agreement”?)

Additionally we/they have grown tired to the level of corruption and vitriol spewed by a liberalistic media/political system. Take note of recent shooter who mimicked Bernie Sanders speeches prior to shooting.

Trump is simply a means to push back at government NOT racist, sexist, homophobic neanderthals who are not as enlightened as the rest of you “deep intellectuals” who write papers most do not read.

So here’s my point: PLEASE PLEASE, keep assuming that this article you’ve written is right and that those Trump/conservative voters are all about racism & identity politics — because while you think and react to such things — the actual voters have bigger are deeper issues for which they are contending. It’s a shallow mind that always assumes that if one does not think like them they much be bigots.
