How we built “Amazing Creatures” in two years — the full story

In November 2017 I had an idea for game that would be my ultimate tribute to the brilliant games I played as a kid in ’90s and early ’00s. These are games that actually had a story, mystery and novelty. I’m talking about Crash Bandicoot, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Deus Ex, and Silent Hill. These kind of games.

So what is UX then?

It’s safe to say all products are after the best User Experience.

Product Designers and UX Designers are after creating the most immersive User Experiences. They design the wireframes, engineer the flows, build prototypes and shit.

The least steps a flow has the better. The least pages a flow has the better. The least clicks a user has to go through to get to the goal the better.

You know what? That’s wrong.

We should stop looking at UX from a perspective of minimizing the number of steps, pages and clicks. …
