Overthinking

Overthinking

The thing that is constantly troubling you can be dealt in two ways . If the things can be changed ,go ahead and make efforts to change it. If it is irreparable, learn the lesson and move on. Overthinking will cost you peace of mind , reduced productivity, strained relationships and poor health . Be a well wisher of yourself and learn to do away with overthinking. A few techniques to manage overthinking effectively are :

1. Remember the tasks in hand and immediately pay attention to them . This will set your brain towards them and initiate a set of activities which will help you to accomplish them. Your mind will be diverted towards positive activities releasing positive hormones and you will realise that the thoughts which were troubling you were insignificant.

2. Take a pause and think whether you can do anything to change it . If you can , go ahead and try to change it immediately and relieve yourself from the stress.

3. If the thing is irreparable and beyond your control , stop pondering on it and move on.

4. Try meditation , yoga , aerobics , jogging , walking , music , playing , gardening or any other hobby of your interest.

5. Spend time with your family and friends .
The love and care showered by your family members will work like an elixir and will immediately bail you out from the stressful situation.

6. Prayer is a way to communicate with Supreme. Regular prayers will make you realise the insignificance and futility of the troubling thoughts .

7. Healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Keep your mind and body healthy by eating a balanced diet and by exercising regularly.

8. Make a routine and follow it .Plan your day beforehand and follow it. Following a routine with sheer commitment saves you from the demon of mindless thinking . It puts you in action mode with all your energy being channelled in the right direction. Tick the tasks that you have completed. The sense of accomplishment and happiness as you move from one task to another is going to be a saviour .

9. Help others – Be compassionate , kind and benevolent .Helping others is an immense source of happiness and will make you climb the ladder of a successful and meaningful life .

10. Take the help of the parents , teachers , friends, well wishers and counsellor if you feel that you are overburdened with overthinking and need someone to help you out.



Detox your mind regularly . Carrying that burden of overthinking is no less than slow poison. Train your mind to refuse them even the entry in your peaceful existence .Take firm steps towards positivity and feel the difference yourself.
