Advertising opens up this dreamy yet powerful way of communication — the world of design and branding. I consider that as one of the perks of my job. Although, I am on the business side, I never get enough of admiring my talented designers’ monitors every time I walk pass them while they create artworks.
A good dose of creative influx for many years has inspired me to start a side project of my own focused predominantly on — typeface design, graphic design, UI and UX . The thought behind this initiative is to learn, apply and polish my approach to design. It is more like a personal journey I am on to discover and understand the basics of graphic design and eventually develop a visual design language.
Kickstarting the same with a series on compiling the iconic typefaces.
Since it’s a Medium blog and not a design portfolio platform, I will not be publishing just the artwork. I will also write a little about it. With that in mind, I am starting the typeface series called Typeface Diary. It will consist of — a brief background and an artwork.
