Caesar salad — Recipe
Ingredients for the salad:
- 1 piece of romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce, washed and chopped
- 1 cup of croutons
- 4 anchovy fillets
Ingredients for dressing:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan
- Salt and pepper to taste
Dressing Instructions:
1. In a small boll, whisk together mayonnaise, garlic, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and Worcestershire sauce until well combined.
2. Stir in 1/2 of the grated parmesan and season with salt and pepper to taste.
3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
Salad Instructions:
1. In a large salad bowl, add chopped romaine lettuce or iceberg lettuce.
2. Pour the Caesar dressing over the lettuce and mix.
3. Add the rest of the grated parmesan and the browned croutons to the salad and mix again.
4. Garnish with anchovies and enjoy!
Feel free to customize the salad to your personal liking and you can also add grilled chicken or shrimp for a protein boost, etc.
