Hi everyone! It’s time for another community update. The team has been extremely busy executing on our vision, and we realized that we actually don’t talk about our vision enough. So, first things first.
What IS Ink Protocol really all about?
Trusted Peer-to-Peer Transactions on ANY Platform
By utilizing Ethereum and the transformative blockchain technology it is built on, we believe Ink Protocol has the power to completely change the way people buy and sell goods and services. You will no longer need to rely on any single centralized platform or even any single decentralized platform. A transaction between any two random people on the street should be as safe and secure as a transaction backed by a huge company such as eBay or Amazon. That’s the ultimate dream that we have for Ink Protocol.
Over 150,000 Items Already Listed on the Listia Marketplace using XNK
We promised that we would be one of the VERY rare blockchain projects to launch with a WORKING product, and we delivered! To date, over 150,000 listings have already been listed on the Listia marketplace, and that number is growing daily. Thousands of items are bought and sold each day within the marketplace using XNK. This is only the beginning, but Ink Protocol is already off to a blazing fast start. Not many projects can claim that their tokens are actually useful outside of cryptocurrency speculation. Setting ourselves up as a project with real utility has always been the goal, and we are so proud of the team for delivering on this promise. It will make ALL the difference in the long run :)
Ink Protocol is Growing Fast on Listia, but it’s NOT ONLY about Listia
We have been working hard building out partnerships and generally spreading the word about how ANYONE can build products and services on top of Ink Protocol. It is fully live in production and ready to integrate. In the last couple weeks, we announced two of our first partnerships which will go a long way in achieving this goal:
- Kleros will help power our dispute resolution system and allow any peer-to-peer transaction to leverage a full jury of peers to decide the outcome.
- Bounty0x will be building their new reputation system directly on Ink Protocol, so bounty hunters in their marketplace will start earning Ink reputation for every successful bounty.
We have signed many additional partnerships that will be announced over the next couple weeks. Stay tuned!
A developer portal, easy to use APIs, and other tools are coming soon :)
Ink Pay App
We have made a ton of progress on the first version of the Ink Pay web app and associated backend code. We plan to release this soon so that anyone can easily use it to buy and sell anywhere (like Craigslist, FB Marketplace, etc) without needing to understand how to use wallets like MyEtherWallet or interact directly with smart contracts.
Stay tuned for a full product announcement when this is done and ready to launch. We are SUPER excited about this app.
