The Power of Atomic Habits
We often underrate the significance of hatching tiny progresses that introduce on a regular basis and overvalued the importance of one particular jiff. Perhaps, we believe only a big step can reach us to the massive triumph we are dreaming for. Hence, we screwed up ourselves to commit some earth-shaking actions that everyone will praise about.
It’s obvious that a microscopic improvement is not particularly notable but in the long run every effort counts no matter how tiny it was. The outcome of a tiny progress over the time is exponentially noticeable. The mathematical assessment illustrates, if anyone can refine 1% (Minor consistent effort) each day for one year consecutively, (s)he will end up more than 37 times better than that of doing nothing at all (Legendary state). On the contrary, if (s)he fades 1% (Minor consistent setback) each day for one year successively, (s)he will decline nearly down to zero. So, what initiates as a tiny success or a minor setback accumulates into something much more we are blind to perceive.
Small changes in our daily habits can guide us to a very different destination. Minor progress or setback may seem insignificant in the moment, but over the span of moments that has huge impact to determine the difference between who we are and what we could be. “Success is the product of daily habits — not once-in-a-lifetime transformations.” It doesn’t matter how successful or unsuccessful we are currently but what matters is whether our habits are putting us on the track toward success. We need to be far more focused with our current trajectory than with our current consequences.
