The digital toolbox that will set you apart
It’s often said that the first rule of entrepreneurial success is to surround yourself with great people, to put together the right team. What I want to discuss in this post is what I believe is the rule that comes just after this one, which is to equip yourself with great tools, to put together the right toolbox.
While it’s true that we spend a lot of times with our colleagues or co-founders, we also spend a huge amount of time behind our computers, getting things done with the help of various digital tools.
In the tech industry, long gone are the days where the employees of a company all used the same three to five tools, either sold by big software companies or developed in-house for company-specific tasks.
Each team in a modern digital company is now using dozens of different tools, offered by dozens of different Software-as-a-Serice (SaaS) companies. There is a clear trend towards the diversification and multiplication of digital tools that are used to launch and operate a company.
In this context, finding the right tools becomes a clear competitive advantage.
