For the past seven years, he has poured his heart and soul into developing a TV series that captures the essence of the FDNY during the 1990s, leading up to that fateful day and its aftermath. Now, alongside his nonprofit organization, the AFC (Astoria Filmmakers Club), Phil and a dedicated team of 30 volunteers are gearing up to present a compelling podcast play, “Fireland,” just in time for this year’s remembrance of 9/11.
“Fireland” is more than just a podcast play. As a plan B, his nonprofit can distribute the film themselves on there latest project, AFCtv+, a free streaming platform that crowdfunds projects directly from the donors.
