Arlo Camera Setup and Installation
follow the below simple steps to setup your new Arlo camera.
- Download the Arlo app.
The Arlo app is available in the play store for Android phones and also available in the app store for iPhone customers. It can be easily downloaded and once the app is there on the phone, onscreen directions can be followed according to the camera model.
2. Create your Arlo account.
Once the Arlo app is downloaded and ready an Arlo account can be easily created with an existing email address and once the email is verified the account is ready to be used.
3. Prepare your cameras.
depending upon the camera model, the camera needs to be prepared as per the quick installation guide that is available within the packaging box of the camera. If the cameras are with the base station, they need to be connected to a WIFI router first, and then cameras can be synced easily with the base station. Few of the Arlo cameras can be connected directly to the WIFI but we need to make sure if the WIFI is 2.4 Ghz as a few Arlo camera models can only be connected with 2.4 GHz WIFI.
4. Sync your cameras
Once cameras are prepared just follow the onscreen instructions mention in-app depending upon the camera model that you trying to sync. just stick with the instructions and do not try to add any step of your own as it can lead to more confusion.
5. One camera at a time
if the number of cameras is more than one just try to sync one camera at a time. Only cameras with smart hubs can be synced all together.
6. Motion detection test
Once all the cameras are synced just try to test the motion detection activity as Arlo cameras will only record and update the library if the motion is getting detected. almost all model requires a subscription depending upon the model of the camera.
7. Mount your cameras.
Once the cameras are synced and ready place and mount your cameras as per the requirement. And also after mounting please adjust the camera view and test motion activity one more time to make sure everything is working fine.
