Hide others’ likes from showing up on your Twitter timeline (using uBlock)

This one is pretty simple. If you want to block things that make twitter suck like it showing you other folks’ ‘liked’ tweets, add this rule to uBlock Origin (will probably work for any ad blocker that supports Adblock Plus syntax, which I think is most of them).

The rule is

twitter.com##li[data-suggestion-json*="ActivityTweet"]

Add it by

  1. Opening ad block origin (click the icon in your browser)
  2. Click the ‘dashboard’ icon
  3. Click the ‘my filters’ tab
  4. Copy the line above on its own line in the input field, and click ‘apply changes’
  5. refresh twitter

If this stops working, leave me a note below and I’ll look into it.
