Phil La Duke approaches his interviews by starting asking himself what he would like to know about a topic and goes from there. His books are visceral, raw, and aggressive looks at topics about which most people aren't comfortable talking. "Unless we can get out of our comfort zones and talk about the ugliness in our realities we can never solve the problems in society" says La Duke. La Duke believes that many overwhelming and seemingly insurmountable problems in the world can be managed—if not solved—with just a smidgeon of thought and reflection beyond our own personal biases.
