I have been following Climate Progress for many years and I have had several on line conversations with Joe. To the point.

Unmentioned in Big Al’s presentation is the fact that global emissions, global CO2 concentrations and global surface temperatures are still rising faster and faster every year. The past graphs had “business as usual” projections to show what would happen if we did nothing to address climate change. Actual emissions, concentrations and temperatures have met or exceeded those “business as usual” projections. So much for the good news. Wind, solar, LED’s, electric cars, all the meetings, all the goals, all the talk, and what have we got.

Any significant effort to change the global climate in a different direction would require a commitment beyond any realistic possibility. I grew up during WWII and there is no way this country or any other country will make those kind of sacrifices and climate change would require additional sacrifice.
