There’s nothing wrong with wanting readers.

I agree with you about the value of sharing ideas about craft and literature, but for those spending time and energy criticizing others for the practical aspects of building one’s platform (the ones I address in this post), this doesn’t apply.

But sometimes maybe you interpret statements as tearing someone down, when really they are meant to empower and inspire someone to focus on substance?

Or maybe my observation is a valid one. I’m not sure why you resisted my observation enough to assume that it was based on a persistent bias that I must have.

I do, however, agree with you about there being a difference between wanting eyeballs and needing eyeballs. Fair point.
