I think that Gary talks about all the things you mentioned.

Dear Mr Fernandez,

Often, people choose technology over people. Netflix, snapchat, whatsapp, instagram, over meeting up. As I have outlined, this is a big issue, because we no longer see the essential component to life as essential. Today its just another part of our journey.

Iam not scared, I can put my phone away, go to dinner with my family without it, because I know, how beautiful life can be without this device we desire constantly. Addictions will make you happy to an extent, but they can be fatal. Such in the case of technology, it can be helpful and do things we couldnt imagine to do before it existed. But once it interfers with the most important component to our lives it becomes dangerous. Because while the world becomes more complex by the minute, we need to have something to hold on to- and that thing is a person, people in reality.

I think that you, like Gary, may have lacked experiences with people full of happiness, ultimate satisfaction and ingenuity, which may have lead to your addiction. Addictions come from fears and problems, they, much like technology itself are a way out, a distraction to life itself. They may to a extent induce dopamin but at the end they will be fatal. To that I can just say what a guru once told me: life is like a balance beem, to much of something and youll fall off. To less of something and youll fall off.

I hope that helps.
