EARTH DAY

What do we really celebrate during. Earth Day? Is it Mother Nature’s splendour, Her ability to heal herself, her immense power over us? Or is Earth Day a day of mourning because of what we humans do to her – the constant abuse we commit, our cruel mindlessness when we get a glimpse of even just an infinitesimal part of her, our greed and uncaring attitude in wanting not just a piece of her but more, more, more?

Earth is I such an abominable state I just want Mother Nature to show us her wrath to the fullest. It’s the only way we will learn again to respect her Earth. It is hers, this earth. Not ours. The humans who are most hurtful are just mere pests who don’t care except for their investments. Then these pests of humans do face-lifting acts to try and appease their conscience. So they can claim that they give back.

So Earth Day, what do we really celebrate today?
