The new Pear Fellows have completed the first stage of our training program, and they are already imbuing our team with energy and fresh ideas.

The Pear Fellows program is an early-stage VC apprenticeship. Fellows work directly with Pear’s investment partners to discover founders, make investment decisions, and support startups. 49% of our portfolio founders were students when we first invested and they were often introduced to us by Fellows.

Fellows alumni have founded fast growing companies, such as Isaac Madan (CEO of Nightfall) and John Keck (CEO of Macro). Many alumni have become successful VCs, such as Nicole Quinn…

Pear Garage is the founding story of Pear. When Mar and Pejman started Pear VC, they started by inviting entrepreneurial engineers in college to camp out in their new offices, work on their ideas together with mentorship from Pejman and Mar themselves, and get access to the best of their vast Silicon Valley network — no strings attached, no equity exchanged.

Seven years later at Pear, that ethos is still the core of our 14-person team. Our partners have founded companies that…
