However, I think you’re too strongly about the willpower.

“Willpower sucks. Forget about it.” is probably going a bit too far. Although I agree with the assertion that there’s no point in betting everything in willpower if you don’t change the environment; and the fact that the 5 points you enumerate as necessary to achieve goals are well thought; still you can’t completely ditch willpower. What seems to me (and I don’t think it contradicts your dissertation) is that willpower is not the core, but the cover. You don’t base your goal achieving in willpower but in creating a structure that will make your journey far more probable to be successful. Willpower might be the sugarcoating you add on top to give the extra push you need in times when things look less bright.
