How Setting a Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal Earned Us an Emmy Nomination

If you’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting a member of our team, then you know we’re huge proponents of Big Hairy Audacious Goals. And while we’re naturally a very ambitious bunch (with a totally healthy sense of competition), there’s a reason we’re dedicated followers of said big hairy goals.

As a company, we’ve grown very quickly in a short period of time. From expanding into the Medicare Advantage market to more than tripling our team in less than three years, this, naturally, has required our employees to stay agile, flexible, and hungry. This has been especially true for our Marketing team, affectionately known as “The Wolfpack”, which, at five people strong, is the smallest department at Peerfit.

At the beginning of 2018, our VP of Marketing, Maria Juan, wrote an article about how our (then) four-person team contributed to 800% growth in just one year, noting how our Wolfpack was “just getting started.” Not long after, we had a crazy idea: what if we made a commercial? Like an actual commercial? And so, a Big, Hairy, Audacious Goal was born.

We pitched it to our Leadership team and got the budget approved. We vetted agencies. We decided to work with Diamond View, who coincidentally also hails from our hometown of Tampa. We scouted locations and combed through actors and actresses to play Peerfitters on the small screen. We flew in from New York City and drove in from Gainesville and Orlando to help it come to life, and, one year later, that same commercial is nominated for an Emmy.

And we’re still only just getting started.
