After 15 races, Detroiter Bora Gulari and teammate Louisa Chafee are the team to beat in terms of winning the Olympic slot for the Nacra 17 class.

Gulari and his partner were once again the top finishing team at the Miami World Cup, the first of two regattas that make up the Olympic trials for the US Olympic team. The second begins Feb. 7 in Clearwater, Fla.

Port Huron native Katie Pettibone and her teammate Michael Easton moved up to fourth among the American teams after Miami.

Gulari was 12th overall among the international teams in the regatta. Pettibone was 28th.
