On tour in North Ghana. Over 100 Km/h in a 4x4 through the middle ages. From Accra to Bamako through Ouagadougou in five days. Schools under a tree, no soap, no decent toilet, hardly water but one FAO meal a day!
In the mean time a fiber optic cable was manually dug out by sweating boys along the road in Ghana. Dusty Sahara winds came south for weeks. Cities mark themselves with vast tree-less areas where plastic bags fly around with sole purpose to be eaten by sheep (probably deadly) or used as flying toilet.
