Those sculptures sound amazing. I may have to track down where they are now….just to go see them in person! Sounds like a good excuse for a trip!

I discovered him on my first trip to the Louvre….wasn’t aware before then. As much as I LOVE art, my eyes were glazing over in the Italian wing, after the 457th Madonna and Child or tepid landscape….until I spotted his paintings. I was mesmerized, especially, as you said, since he was painting in the 16th century!
