It’s pretty natural to get a bit nervous before a test. That’s why it’s important to put in the time upfront to make sure everything is up to standard ready for the test. We did just that by making sure to build up the back end of Penguin Karts to be as clean and secure as possible ready for the Smart Contract Audit. And it paid off.

We passed our Smart Contract Audit with flying colors!

For a bit more transparency, we thought we would offer some details about the process and the final results we received.

The Process

We brought in industry experts Zokyo as an external third party to handle the audit of our underlying Smart Contract code. This code is what will ultimately be handling transactions and other automated processes relating to our $PGK tokens and other assets.

Based on industry standards and best practices, the Zokyo audit team and security experts reviewed the code line by line with a few different criteria in mind. This was to ensure that the contract:

  • Implements and adheres to existing standards appropriately and effectively;
  • Documentation and code comments match logic and behavior;
  • Follows best practices in efficient use of resources, without unnecessary waste;
  • Uses methods safe from reentrance attacks;
  • Is not affected by the latest vulnerabilities;
  • Whether the code meets best practices in code readability, etc.

The result? We scored 100/100 — a perfect score! This naturally means that we pass the audit and that our Smart Contract passes security qualifications to be listed on digital asset exchanges.

Shout out to our amazing team for making this happen and to Zokyo for performing the audit.

This is of course great news, and should hopefully show you as our community that we are taking security very seriously. However, we always recommend that you do your own research and make decisions based on that. Our CMC page is a good starting point.

Looking forward, there is a lot coming up over the next weeks, so make sure to join our social channels to keep up with the latest developments.
