I really like the sound of this year (now a little over three months old), because it reminds me of what’s considered to be perfect vision…

… as well as being the name of this awesome ABC television news program that has been going strong since June 6, 1978:

This year begins a new decade and even includes an extra day (which has now come and gone), as it’s also a Leap Year.

But there’s just something about this year — and, especially, during this month when we Spring Forward with our time here in most of Indiana and switch over from winter to spring a couple of weeks after that — which fills me with a feeling of optimism and anticipation.

In my own life, I can see a lot of things coming together, and there’s this two-word phrase that I’m using a lot lately:

“It’s Time!!!”

I don’t know what all this year has in store for both others and myself, but I just have this overall good feeling about it.

There are a lot of milestones that have special meaning to me, and I’ll be sharing those in the time to come.

This very day (Saturday, March 14, 2020) is very special to me because I can still remember what I was doing 43 years ago when this day fell on a Monday.

Shawn Cassidy did a cover of a song that year which had originally been made popular by The Crystals back in the early 1960s: Da Doo Ron Ron.

Somebody very special had come into my life that evening, and — even though his name certainly wasn’t Jill (nor was it Bill like it was in the original) — hearing that song on the radio (which played a whole lot that year) was so exciting to me because I’d met that special someone on a Monday.

Over all, I would say that 1977 was a great year even though there were parts of it that were rough.

Love was certainly in the air with one of my best friends finding her prince after meeting and marrying a couple of frogs (1 beater and 1 cheater).

A lot has taken place since that time, and there have been a lot of milestones that have happened during years that ended right on zero.

I’ve only been around on those zero years since 1960 having been born on Friday, December 12, 1952 (which you’ll find out in time is an interesting time to have been born) at 1:27 PM Anderson, Indiana time.

One thing I’ll be writing about in the future are both those years that end in zero and the ones that end in five.

I’m not sure that I’ll have any one particular theme here other than just sharing whatever I feel led to share as time marches on.

At this time, I’m going to sign of, post this, and take a break to eat a scrumptious meal now cooking in my microwave.

When I’m finished, I’ll likely write about what I was doing 43 years ago…
