An Open Letter to Gary Johnson

There is a large and significant portion of the population still reeling from The Great Recession. Many of us will never recover.

The past 9 years remind me of the Griffith-Paret fight of March, 1962. We have been punched and pummeled with an unmitigated fusillade of right jabs with no one stopping the fight. The ref just stood there and watched and my corner never threw in the towel. The President and government have let us twist in the wind.

Do we not have any recourse? Are we merely considered ‘collateral damage’?

Your job, should you wish take it, is to make us whole again. You must do something bold for us. You must guarantee restitution for the robbery of our jobs, our income, our wealth.

We look at all the natural disasters, the $800 billion to the banks, the BP oil spill, 9/11 payouts, GM settlements and my favorite-cancer causing powder on the vagina. Everybody gets money. Everybody gets a settlement. Where’s our bailout?

There must be a way the government can help those of us directly damaged by the man made financial crisis. You can propose this. You can issue the proverbial Executive Order to assist us. You can demonstrate to the country that we are just not interested in saving the banks. It’s time to save the people!
