I worked several stations in Canada, albeit illegally according to FCC rules. We were KMG 3073 and I used “skip” to communicate all over America even as far as Venezuela!

My dad said I had to stop breaking the law and get my ham license which I did in 1966.

I often think of writing and developing a sitcom based on CB and the way it was back then. Your 13 year old friend would be a great character in the script!
