If life was a house you want to build, school is like the foundation.

What you learn at school can sound very basic to a mind obsessed with specialist subject (be it computing, environment, astronomy, sports or arts). However finishing up 13 years of primary and secondary school as best as you can, sets anyone up solid for the rest of their life.

With the maturity you get by going through the schooling process, will allow you to develop a level of confidence and know-how which will enable you to make more correct decisions (or less wrong decisions) thereafter.

This is what I tell my 10 year old boy on a daily basis, like a “mantra”.
