When he was twenty-years old Cafaro was practicing for a tryout he had coming up for a professional soccer team. He decided to go play a game of basketball with his friends at the local court and that’s when he’s life was changed forever.

While we was driving down the court he jumped up the same time as one of his friends, hurting his leg in the process. Not thinking it was a big deal at first he walked it off but the next morning he would come to realize he can’t move his leg and would have to get meniscus and ACL surgery.

“Surgery was the most painful thing I ever had to go through”

Now, 5 years later Devon still keeps soccer close to his heart being a Soccer coach for young players across New Jersey.
