Have you considered having a ceremony backdrop? And, why we 100% think you should! Having a statement backdrop allows your wedding ceremony to have a focal point and is ideally conventional to the theme and style of your wedding. Not only does it define the ceremony space in a venue, it also creates a framing for the couple’s ceremony. Let’s take a look at some ideas on creating an eye-catching statement backdrop, maybe you might even find some ideas and inspiration of your own on what theme and style you want your wedding to be.

Greenery

Bring the outdoors in to your ceremony with a burst of greenery . This will immediately enforce a fresh and soothing vibe to your surroundings. The use of greenery allows you to explore your colour palette, as it’s very versatile and works well with any theme, especially now that it’s so on trend, there’s no going wrong with it.

Geometric

Industrial venues are a rising trend (and we love them), with couples looking more towards brick walls and metal features. One way to go about using geometric as your ceremony backdrop is with hanging installations, to accomplish an elegant yet edgy aesthetic.

Text

Words are a great way for couples to get a message across to their guests. Having it in the background instantly changes text to a stand out word or phrase. Not only can you get personal with it, but you can work with different styles to go with your desired theme. Some examples include, giant light up letters, handwritten banners or blown up helium balloons.

Lights

Because we love warehouse weddings so much, we can’t forget how effective lighting is, especially festoon lights. Industrial venues don’t need to be overcrowded with decorations, have a play with falling lights against a worn brick wall to achieve an urban yet warming ambience. Lights alone are absolutely stunning, whether you choose to incorporate greenery or florals, it works just as well by itself.

There are no rules to this, you can decide to explore a mixture of 2 or make it completely unique to your taste. Whichever way, we hope this has been helpful and inspired you to have a stylish backdrop at your ceremony.
