She responds to Averna as her name
Demeter knows the Underworld has a knack
For never letting things be the same
Hades had corrupted her wildflower girl
Disrupted Persephone’s growth into full-Spring Goddess
The iron crown on her head, a dark reminding whirl
To reject her power now would be immodest
Winter comes again, Persephone has to go
To her husband, to her power
To her kingdom down below
Where only life she designs flowers
Persephone, infernal Goddess of Earth
Life and death both bring you mirth
