Courage + Struggles = Creation

How did your “creative struggles” give you the courage in the process of creation? A good friend has just asked me that.

Prior to the process of creating itself, it is definitely not easy. The blank page stares at you in the face and you don’t have any choice but to step back, to let the paper (and yourself) breathe, and to walk around until an idea pops into your head. But sometimes, even before the “fear of the unknown” arrives, your hand starts to look for the instrument and you’ll just catch yourself being engrossed in the moment: you’re actually creating something without any idea in mind.

Personally, I see creative struggles as humps on the road of life — you cannot not hit them; they are unavoidable. They are there to challenge you, to bring out your full potential, to build you, and to lead you into becoming the best version of yourself.

In short, creative struggles are encouraging since I see them as opportunities for improvement and fulfillment, which makes me embrace them all the more.
