By the same token, it is not suitable to stay under isolated chimneys, beside tall metal objects and under telephone poles. In addition, it is not safe to stand under the eaves, and it is better to enter the building immediately.
3. If you hold metal umbrellas, golf clubs, axes and other objects in your hands during thunderstorms, you must throw them away or lower them below the human body. There are also some so-called insulators, such as hoes, which are not insulated in thunderstorms.
4. In case of thunderstorm, avoid standing under the lamp cap line when turning on the lamp indoors.
5. Shower should not be used. Because the water pipe is connected with the lightning protection grounding, the lightning current can be conducted through the water flow to cause casualties.
Protection of folding household appliances
1. Avoid using household appliances in thunderstorm weather, and unplug the power plug and signal plug of appliances.
2. If conditions permit, power lightning arrester shall be installed at the entrance of power supply, and signal lightning arrester shall be installed at cable TV antenna, telephone, fax machine, computer modem entrance and satellite TV cable interface. However, good grounding wire and grounding grid shall be provided during installation.
3. Listen to the weather forecast every day. If you know that there is a thunderstorm that day, you should unplug the power plug and signal plug of household appliances before going to work, and don’t forget to close the window when you go out to prevent the intrusion of rolling thunder.
Protection of folded buildings
1. The lightning protection network (belt) or lightning rod installed on the building or the lightning arrester composed of them should be used. The lightning protection net (belt) shall be laid along the corners, ridges, eaves and eaves that are vulnerable to lightning strikes, and shall be composed of no more than 10m on the whole roof × 10m or 12m × 8m (the grid density is determined according to the building type). All lightning rods shall be connected with each other by lightning strips.
2. There shall be no less than two downleads, which shall be evenly or symmetrically arranged around the building, and the spacing shall not be more than 18m (the spacing of downleads shall be determined according to the building type). When only the steel column or column reinforcement around the building is used as the downlead, the downlead can be set according to the span, but the average spacing of the downleads should not be greater than 18m.
3. The impulse grounding resistance of each down lead shall not be greater than 10 Ω. Direct lightning protection grounding should share the same grounding device with lightning protection induction, electrical equipment, information system and other grounding, and should be connected with buried metal pipes; When they are not shared or connected, the distance between them in the ground shall meet the requirements of the lightning protection design code for buildings and shall not be less than 3m.
When the common grounding device is connected with the buried metal pipeline, the grounding device should be laid around the building as a ring grounding body.
