The Egyptian town of Rafah was almost completely demolished in 2014 so the Egyptian military could create a buffer zone between Gaza and the Egyptian border. A reported 3,200 families lost their homes, those who refused to leave were forced out at gunpoint. The image above shows Rafah before and after the demolition. It shows the destruction of a town.
